Emma Pattison, LMT
I was introduced to massage therapy when I was 12 years old. My dad, a long time heavy equipment operator, was having terrible back pain and finally decided to try massage therapy. To his surprise, it actually helped, and he became fascinated with muscle manipulation and what it can do for the body. So, at 42 years old, he decided to make a drastic career change. Needless to say, my family and I were guinea pigs as he worked his way through school. 3 years later, when I was 15, he had the opportunity to go to Thailand and take a 2 week course in Thai massage and asked that I go with him. In June of 2005, I graduated with a 60 hour diploma in Thai massage from the Thai Massage School in Chiang Mai. Although Thai massage has never been a passion of mine, it is where I got my start.
The next year, when I was a junior in high school, I attended the Institute of Natural Therapies on the weekends, and received a 900 hour diploma in massage therapy. Over the last 15 years, I have worked with many different kinds of clientele in different types of locations including spas, ski hills, sole practitioner offices, owning my own business, and chiropractic offices. I have been at Gonstead, Stangl & Arkowski Chiropractic for the last 7 years.
People often ask me the type of massage I do. I don’t like putting a label on my massages, as I work with each individual and determine what type of massage techniques will most benefit that specific person. I have a passion for making people feel better and like to focus on injuries and pain management, but I also like to incorporate a little bit of relaxation into every massage.
Emma is currently not taking any New Clients at this time.

Shauna Hogenson
Hi Everyone!
I was born and raised here in Eau Claire. I have 2 older daughters and a set of twins(a girl and boy). In August of 2021, I graduated from the PHD academy in massage therapy. I knew I wanted to do massage therapy since a young age after helping my grandmother recover from her knee surgery. I started college a little late, but hey! Better late than never. I’m so excited to start my journey here with all the staff, doctors and patients!
Right now, I enjoy doing trigger point therapy and deep tissue massages. I’ll be expanding my modalities to oncology, sports rehab, and prenatal massages.
Shauna is available Mondays – Thursdays from 9:00am – 5:00pm and Fridays 9:00am – 1:00 pm.
